Our Vision, Mission & Philosophy

“Every aspiring young footballer deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential!”

Our Vision

Our vision is to cultivate proficient young footballers, ensuring their holistic development for seamless integration into senior football. We aspire to be acknowledged as the premier choice for aspiring players in South Australia, emphasising excellence in player growth and character building.

We will continue to invest in our coaches, equipment and new technologies to enhance our reputation and improve performance in order to develop the players of the future.

Our Mission

The player is the focal point of the NYFA, and our mission is to identify, develop and support young footballers in order for them to achieve their maximum potential in a positive, supportive and professional learning environment.

We will embrace a competitive culture that encourages team-work and fun, whilst positively impacting on our young players.

Our Playing Philosophy

The philosophy of the NYFA is to focus on the basic fundamentals to enable our young players to play a purposeful passing style of football. This means that we will endeavor to equip our young players with the technical and tactical skills that will enable our teams to control and influence the game when in or out of possession.

We will create an environment where our players will have the athletic ability and mental strength to regain possession of the ball and consequently regain control of the game.

Our Academy values, behaviours and coaching methods will underpin this philosophy. We want our young players to learn how to play attack-minded football through a positive, purposeful and forward-thinking incisive passing game, exploiting the space and progressing through the pitch to create goal-scoring opportunities.
