Structured Training Session
Activation/Dynamic Warm – 15 mins.
Activation warm-up or dynamic warm-up is a sequence of soccer-related movements performed in a controlled and systematic fashion to prepare the body for performance. The aim of the warm-up should be the complete physical and mental preparation for dynamic actions to follow.
Technique Practice – 20 mins.
Technical practice is an exercise that is done with NO opposition, in a chaotic or structured environment.
The technique is the foundation of any player’s ability to play the game. Without sound technique, there is little point in focusing on the principles of the game.
Skill Practice – 20mins.
With opposition introduced into the activity, players now have to make decisions based on the ball, opponent, teammate, time and space available to them. This brings more realism to the practice, challenging them on a technical level, as well as their decision making, tactical awareness, and their physical attributes.
Conditioned Game – 20 mins.
A Conditioned Game is a game that adheres to the laws of football (based on the natural format of the game, 2 goals, corners, fouls etc), with conditions added to the play which helps continues to enhance a specific theme either tactical, technical, or physical.

Considering joining the academy? Prospective players are required to express their interest by filling out the contact form available on our website, after which they will receive an invitation to participate in a trial. Upon acceptance into the NYFA Elite or Development programs, players will be issued a unique code for complete registration.
